Our Story

Sukoon Water's aspiration is to give people the peace of mind, the Sukoon, that they and their children will go to sleep safe from water-borne illness.

The vast majority of Pakistanis do not consistently drink water from a safe source, which has vast public health consequences for the nation. Currently, there are few scalable and effective solutions to address this crisis. In August 2016, we started a community based filtration plant in an informal settlement of Karachi and are serving around 2,500 people daily. In the last 2 years, we've realized that the problem of safe water delivery at the last mile is more complex than we could have ever imagined.  We've made progress, but we are still in the process of refining the delivery model.

Sukoon Water is a platform for people to come together and help develop a scalable, impact-focused delivery model for safe drinking water in informal urban communities. If you are interested in our work, come and be a part of this platform and play your part in being a socially responsible global citizen.
